To help everyone learn, explore, and grow, we all need to

follow these expectations:

1. Be Respectful

Listen when others are speaking.

Use kind and appropriate language.

Respect others’ opinions, materials, and personal space.

Take care of classroom equipment and supplies.

2. Be Responsible

Come to class on time and prepared (binder, laptop, pencil, homework, etc.).

Complete all assignments on time and do your best work.

Take responsibility for your own learning and actions.

Follow all class safety rules—always!

3. Be Engaged

Stay focused and participate actively in class activities.

Ask questions and share your ideas.

Work with your group cooperatively during assignments and projects when allowed.

Use class time wisely—stay on task.

4. Be Curious

History is about discovering new adventures and exploring ideas—don’t be afraid to wonder!

Think critically and look for evidence before jumping to conclusions.

Embrace mistakes as part of learning.

5. Follow All School and Classroom Rules

No food or outside drinks during science class (unless allowed by Ms. Alcendor).

Use electronic devices per state and school rules.

Follow directions the first time they are given.
